FireFox 2.0 (Bon Echo) uninstall problem

Yes, I know its beta, but I was curious to see what it was about and all. So, I installed it. I like it and all, but it is beta so I decided to uninstall it. If I try and go into add/remove programs and uninstall it, it locks up the add/remove programs part of it. If I drill through windows explorer and try to uninstall it, it simply does nothing. I read a little on the mozilla site, it said to edit the uninstall.ini and make sure that the Product Name line was set to Product Name = Bon Echo. I did that and it still won't uninstall.

Any ideas how I can uninstall this thing?

Thanks.

After I delete the registry entries, do I just delete the install folder or what? Can you tell I don't have this kinda problem very often? LOL

there should be an uninstall option in the regcleaner....you can do that first then the regestry enteries. Then whatever is left should be moot so feel free to get rid of it.

ah, ok, Unforutately it doesn't show up in the uninstall menu.

EDIT: Yes it does. It showed up in the software list as Mozilla Bon Echo, but in the Uninstall Menu as just Bon Echo. Stupid me....

EDIT AGAIN: Wouldn't remove it. It went through the motions, but still there.... I don't understand that....

You could do a System Restore (if you have XP) til before you installed it. I'm lazy when it comes to things like that, so I use the good old System Restore as a quick fix.

You could try that..launch HJT and open the "Misc Tools" in the misc tools section now click "open uninstall manager" and play around with it there..

When i have problems like theese i used to just boot into safe mode and delete the program folder, then boot into normal mode and just clean up the mess with ccleaners "Issues" scanner and Pc Tools RegMechanic, but i've been using theese for a while now, they've done the trick, give some of theese unistalers a go.

Should do the trick..

I reccomend Ashampoo UnInstaller Platinum 2

Its a free trial..but you can just "buy" it from somewhere else when the trials finished...
