recording streaming music

Hi, I've been looking for a very long time for a good program that can record streaming music to the exact quality at which I hear it. However, I have found no such luck. Many programs don't deliver as good quality. I've heard that Sony Sound Forge is a very good program for this but I don't think so, as I've tried it and I get the recorded music at a very low volume and very high file sizes (39mb for 3 and a half minutes!). So, do any of you lot know of a good program that can do what I want very well? Thanks.

I use Station Ripper and RipCast. You can download them both from here.

sorry but I was away for a while and I meant to say how to actually record any sounds coming form the speakers seamlessly and without a loss of wuality, like if there was embedding audio in a website, not a radio station. So, any programs?

Just use sony sound forge and reconfig your sound card to stereo mix, that will record any sound that your computer makes, either from playing music, playing games, or listening to stream music. It will record the sound at that qaulity you hear it at.

this method doesn't work for me, I tried it and the quality is far less than what I hear it at and the audio file is also very large. And what do you mean by "reconfig your sound card"? Thanks and sorry for noobiness.

If you want to record music off of myspace, I suggest getting Mp3Gopher. Very easy to use program. No problems.
