So. Whos getting Microsoft Vista?. Im thinking on getting it and upgrading my Windows computer but I think its pointless. All Vista is going to do is take up more space on my harddrive and add another billion of viruses onto my gaming computer.

So I aint getting Vista for shure. Unless MS has secretly installed chips in everyones PC that shuts it down until you buy Vista. Im putting my money towards Mac OS X 10.5 Leopord a faster and more STABLE, VIRUES PROOF operating system.

So my question is whos getting Vista and whos not?. Post your feelings about it.




PS. I think its always funny how MS puts these happy looking people either in a field of wheat or infront of a computer smiling and looking like there going to live forever, what the picture should be some dude banging on his keyboard while ripping his hair out.

I'll wait. I want to hear about what I can and can't do first. Stuff like ripping movies, the privacy issues, etc....stuff that I've read briefly about already. I may be more interested when I build my next pc and it has dual processor or dual core technology. Then it would be interesting to see how Vista utlizes the hardware.

I was going to buy a Mac mini but Im just going to stick with the good old Apple PowerPC G4. I upgraded the HD, graphics card (ATI 64 MB) - back in the day that was a good card and currently running 10.4.7 Tiger.

Waiting for my uncle to send me an ATI 512 MB (hes got connections with ATI *cough*free gfx cards*cough*).


I just hope MS isnt going to put a whole bunch of those popups when we start up our Windows computers telling us to upgrade.

only reason I'm going for the mini,is because I'll still have a PC,prolly running ONLY linux but I would like to have them both on a KVM switch. For what I want an Apple for,the mini is perfect.

I haven't beta tested it personally, but two good friends of mine have, and they say it's a resource hog, slows down your PC to a crawl, XP SP2 is better in every regard, that's good enough for me.

Yeh, MS India is giving it away. I dont like it, tried the last 2 betas, and its just like XP Pro, just has a new look, and it eats RAM, like wow.

Running 2GB Dual Channel, and in task manager well over half was used.
