i have 3 copys of vista, 2 business and one home premium, i only paid for hp if you call it that, it came on my new laptop, and the two busness versions i got from two diffrernt teachers, but, its alright, i wouldnt pay asmuch as they sell it for in stores, it uses way too much memory and processing power, but if i could run xp i would stick to using xp instead of vista, it dosen't take up that much memory, and if you run it on a laptop, vista seems to access the hard drive more then xp, so it can run your battery down

Not a huge fan of Vista, but if you strip out the garbage and create a custom Vista with vLite, it is usable. I have Vista Ultimate 64 bit on my lappy and it runs pretty smooth. There is a Vista 64 SP1 Performance iso floating about which does a nice job of eliminating useless stuff.
