I dont recommend dual booting after having Vista installed. You should first partition the HDD into 2. Then install Vista on 1 partition, then MCE on the 2nd partition. What can happen, since you already have Vista on the HDD. Assuming its not partition cut yet. When you cut the partition, Vista boot loader "GRUB" will stop working, thus making vista unaccessible.

In vista, you have to cut the partition, using Disk Management. That should keep grub boot loader on the HDD boot sector.
