Dead Laptop? - Help.

My uncle, 3 days ago, was watching a movie off watchamovie.com(something like that) and he connected his laptop to his T.V with some cords he has. he watched the movie and then he shut down his laptop normally.

2 days later he attempted to turn on his laptop and it didn't turn on.

Personally, i have not seen his laptop but i am just typing this as he described to me.

Help

Didn't turn on as "Power on" or it powers on but wont load windows?

Some more information would be great, like if he is running off the battery, or plugged to the wall.

He can take out the battery, and only use the AC plug. Try that, and hopefully it works. Otherwise, you may have a dead/bad power button, or something more major than that.

Any error message? Blue screen? Or just blank screen? Does it show the BIOS on boot?

It could be that it is loading windows maybe, but that you can't see it?? - because maybe your uncle set the default display to be the TV instead. I know it sounds funny, but I've done that before with my PC, so what I had to do was plug in the TV again and have that on when I started the computer - then you can see what's happening and then change the display back to the correct settings.... it may not be the problem in your case, but just an idea that you could try, hope it helps anyway
