Hey guys, My moms having some trouble with her computer... When she goes to run a program for a game she plays, she gets the RICHTX32.ocx file is unregistered, missing, or invalid Error... Now, I downloaded the file from acentive.com and put it in the Windows/System32 folder like it said... But, got no results, I even restarted the computer, and went to start menu > run > C:/windows/system32/richtx32.ocx ... Still, no results.. Anyone know why this is, I'd really appreciate a reply as soon as possible. Thanks Guys..

You probably have to match it exactly, might wanna try here: OcxDump - free ocx files. download ocx files you need immediately!

This is what you have to do,

Copy the file to System32

then go to start > run

Type this in,

Regsvr32 /s C:\Windows\System32\RICHTX32.ocx

Hit ok, and it will confirm if its sucessful

ok yea, i just downloaded the ocx from lords post. and tried ur idea kam. still same problem.. now what?

Another thing is you can put the OCX file in the same directory as the program.

Ok, so lets say the program isnt an installed program, its a vb program running off an exe... will that concflict with it?

I haven't done VB in a long time, RICHTX32.ocx should be used for something involving text editing. Something you may want to try is install the VB library.
