what is nmindex.exe????it pops up on my computer screen and i close it and usually happens again and its not responding.i want to know if its useful or how to delete it if its useless or harmful to my computer.

Do you have Nero on your pc?

I know Nero can run a file called nmindexstoresvr.exe, so I'd assume that this would be from it.

yeah I think alot of people have issues with it,it's part of nero and I think it runs with that startsmart part of it.

Looks like disabling them is a bit of a pain. There is a lite version of Nero which includes Nero Express and Burning ROM only, I've never noticed Nero Scout trying to run with the Lite version, plus it takes up a fraction of the HD space as the full Nero.

MAG's right NmindexStoresvr.exe .at least i know what it is.should be called minder.exe.if its part of nero does anyone know how to delete it without damaging or having to reinstall nero cause i can't seem to find the disk.

use hijackthis to get rid of it.

Something else that might be nice for you to know since you use Nero, there is a small version called Nero Micro, it does all the stuff you need it to, but without all the flashy stuff you don't need. I dunno if you can download it from the net or not, so if you can't let me know and I will upload for you.
