I found this program to be distributed by CNET Download.com and it is all-the-way free. I think this has potential because of what its used for, which is virtual networking. This means you can create networks that can span the globe, which has many uses; this includes private file sharing & networking, network gaming, and many other things.......... all being done over the internet. I was thinking that it would be possible to be used at a great advantage to companies, gamers, communities, forum groups, and people who plain out want to try out something new. I would like it if everyone would post their thoughts on this and explore this concept as soon as possible, especially the staff here at XTREME-SOURCE. Theres probably more programs like this out there, but as far as i know, this program would by far surpass any of them in simplicity. I have not fully explored this program yet, but it seems to have potential that would be of use (as i have shown) and benefit to everyone. Also, making a profile for this is VERY easy and the instructions found in its Help area are very easy to understand (at least in my view of it). Oh, and sorry if im sounding like some commercial, spokesman, or some guy who's been doing drugs, but i honestly think this has potential. So, again, i hope everyone will post their thoughts on this and thank you for taking your time to read this
.Also, i just noticed i might have posted in the wrong area, so if need be, move this thread.Last edited by plague10; 01-06-2008 at 01:24 PM. |

Oh, well i was un-aware of that so forgive me on that long speech, but how long has the staff been using it? I found out about this a year ago and i didn't post about it or explore the concept until now, and i also was unable to get anyone to join in on it (and i mean it, no one really even listened to me about it, not even for a second).

I used Hamachi when it first came, out about 2/3 years ago. I still use it today. The other one, like Leaf I dont use, since it does not service my purpose :twist:

@plague10
Thank you for posting about this application. I'm sure there are many users browsing the forums that were unaware of it (like myself) or programs like it. I was turned on to Hamachi by Kam some time ago, but had no idea about Leaf as I am sure others were the same. I appreciate the initiative, keep it up, also, I'll be updating the download section today with another 200+ downloads, this one will be added. |

Yes, Leaf Network has been around for a while and is a handy tool. The others in your network only have access to those drives or folders which you specify for each individual person. It worked well for the original Xbox, and for messaging and file sharing. But with the new 360's (which i personally beta tested with a guy who worked at Leaf Networks for about a month or so) it has the same problem as all the other networks for gaming (Xlink Kai & XBconnect). The ping timer on 360 games. This stops you from connection to other gamers unless both of you are right within a specific ping limit. Which is why so many 360 owners are now forced to buy Xbox Live and why Microsoft can not keep up with server demand and has been having random network issues and problems like systems locking up, locking up during messaging, and just plain being all around painfully slow.

Sony wins points there for free online, MS is a bunch of crooks to the end.
