A blog called 'Disposablemedia' is claiming that a trusted Microsoft insider has confirmed to them that the UK will receive an official Xbox 360 price cut on August 24th. It is stated that the new price of the SKUs will be £179.99 (Core, same price as Wii), Premium (£249.99) and the Elite will be priced at £299.99.

not bad but i stil say the elite is sill abit expensive

The Elite is a good price for someone that has not got a 360 for what you get its great I paid £280 for my Premium plus I had to buy a game. Most good shop are doing a free game with the Elite.

The main letdown with the Elite is they still haven't done anything to address to the Red Ring of Death issues. I think they put a drop of hot glue over the corners of the mobo, GPU, CPU, but it isn't a total fix to the connectors on the motherboard coming loose from the heat. It would cost MS next to nothing to rig up something similar to the X Clamp replacement and implement it, but they'd rather just add HDMI, change the color, and up the HD size as a quick fix.
