Blue Dragon Review

Gamespot lambasted it. I dunno, I detect a strong amount of bias in the reviewer, something gamespot is kinda notorious for imo. It almost seemed like he forced himself to say something negative every time he praised the game. The difference in the critic reviews and reader reviews seems to support my theory. Anyway, this review does nothing to dissuade my interest in checking out only the second true console RPG on Xbox 360. I'm not counting Phantasy Star Universe or Final Fantasy XI, as those games are centered around the online component rather than as a standalone RPG.

Well I have played it for 16 hours now and I'm still loving it. I have not really done any of the story as all I have been doing is leveling up the team but Its looking good so far. My bro is on the last disc now (3th disc) and he is still playing and he is not a RPG fan so the game must be going something right.

Cool, thanks for the info P, I definitely will be checking this one out.

I like it, played it for about an hour tonight, seems like a good game. I really think the reviewer was just expecting too much. I think he was expecting a great game, which it isn't, but it seems like a solid console RPG. I've been playing console RPG's since 1993, I can pretty much tell in 30 minutes if a game is terrible or decent. This one is not terrible, nor is it great, the reviews which rate it about a 7.5 seem spot on to me. To Gamespot's inconsistencies in reviews into perspective, check out the review for Enchanted Arms: Enchanted Arms for Xbox 360 Review - Xbox 360 Enchanted Arms Review

It's a full point higher. I played it for about an hour as well, it definitely is not as good as Blue Dragon. I like the visuals for Blue Dragon, yes the characters are shallow and lacking depth, but the game has charm.
