Once you backed up the game with the kreon drive, any burner will do to burn the ISO.

It's a good idea to update the firmware to Kreon's .81, the newest version of the firmware. You flash kreon's firmware with an app called sfdnwin, a program for flashing Samsung drives. What you want to do is grab Kreon's firmware off xbins. You can find it under Xbox 360-->firmware-->hacked firmware-->Samsung SH-D162C. Then download the latest version and flash the your drive with sfdnwin. Sfdnwin should come with the firmware download. Here's a guide for xbins: Xbox-Scene Tutorial: Guide to Using Xbins

Double check in Xbox backup creator and make sure it doesn't say Kreon's 0.81 before attempting to flash. Once the iso is created with Xbox Backup Creator, burn it to disc with ImgBurn. Here's a guide: http://www.xtreme-source.com/tutoria...360-games.html

Latest version is now Kreon's version 1.00 I'm curious about the drive model that you listed, an SH-016A? Is that correct? If it is, have you tried ripping with the drive and do you know if this is a current production drive or is it dis-continued and only available on fleabay like the rest of the magic drives?

I would test it before updating it. I've not heard of that model of drive is the reason for my sounding concerned. I've only known about the SH-D162C/TS-H352C/SH-D163A drives. So if yours is an SH-016A and it works, this might be a drive thats more readily available than the three discontinued models that I just mentioned.

actually i think your firmware is fine. I am pretty sure the firmware for the more common SH-D162C is .81 and the SATA SH-D163A is .80
not 100% sure but i am pretty sure.

i bought it of ebay and it says its meant for backing up games;
-Samsung SH-D163A DVD-

"Samsung DVD-Writer Pre-Flashed with Kreon 0.80. firmware. This is the LATEST Firmware - SATA format

Popular for XBOX backup uses - connects to your computer and is pre-loaded with latest Kreon firmware to backup your Xbox games"

Please tell me if this is correct... or what the firmware is that i need or if the firmware that comes with it is the right stuff, as im getting many mixed replies to this. Thanks

yes, it is correct and will work just fine. Even if there is a firmware update it will still work the same as all the drives, like mine as i have the exact same one, with whatever firmware it came with. It is more important to keep up with the newest releases of the software you use to make and check the files such as Xbox Backup Creator, Schtroms, or DVDmulleter. And important to use top quality media (Verbatim DVD+R DL 6X max speed discs)
