Yeah, as of that point I wasn't aware that it was the EA games causing the laser to die out. EA games are the devil, I guess they came with one good game so far, Burnout Paradise is insane. Played the Demo and well, no word of crashing or anything. But I do suggest that people get in-store warranty, but only if its cheap, like at walmart. Some places warranty at $100+ for 2 years.

Yeah I wasn't thinking of skimping on a warranty anyway. I hate the idea of sending your console away just to get a refurbished one that may prove to have the same problem in another 6 months.

I would still like to hear from kam about the laser issue he talked about in another post...link is in my post above this one.

Got any suggestions on FPS or strategy/RPG games (besides FF) for the PS3?

Well I don't know what has been confirmed as far as RPG's for PS3... but Final Fantasy XIII is your best bet. Aside from the obvious, here's why: Whether it sucks and is an abomination to the series doesn't matter, it will sell huge and move PS3's. It will be the Final Fantasy VII effect all over again on the PS3. I.E. Once publishers remember that RPG's can be big business, you will see continuation of the RPG series that made the PS2 great. Series like Suikoden, Star Ocean, Dragon Quest, Shin Megami Tensei, Shadow Hearts, Breath of Fire, Tales, Wild Arms, Chrono will find homes on the PS3. It's inevitable there will be a windfall of RPG's on the next gen platforms, and the PS3 is the favorite by a long-shot. It's kinda mind-boggling there haven't been any so far, RPG's were arguably the strongest genre on PSX and PS2.
