Mass Storage Device To XBOX 360

I'm having trouble opening files from my Hard Drive with the XBox 360. Is their a way to install software to the Hard Drive or 360 to make it compatible? I can't find a list of compatible mass storage device's for the 360 either. Can anyone help? There is not much info on the hard drive, I'm guessing that "ROCK" is the brand name because their is no other name on the box. I purchased off EBAY at a great price for the size and believe it or not, it works great. It is compatible with all Window's back to Window's 98 to Window's Vista and MAC OS. It's 500 GB with 7200 RPM. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO MAKE IT COMPATIBLE WITH THE 360???

Depends what files you are trying to access. If you are trying to access stuff like music and movies, you can swap those back and forth with any FAT32 formatted USB Flash Drive. If I remember right, you can move your 360 gamer profile to a memory card, but you can not copy it to another memory card. That is to prevent the same gamer profile from racking up a bunch of different achievement points at the same on different 360's. If you are trying to access game saves, gamer profiles, and 360 system data, you are going to need something like X-SATA or USB 360.

Here's a right up on the X-SATA:

It runs about $50 and you will need some third party 360 software that can browse the 360 HDD like 360 Xplorer.

The other option is USB 360. Team Xecuter Xbox 360 USB (X360USB) All-in-one Converter for 360 HDD and DVD drives COMBO / ModChipStore.com

I'm not sure it can transfer stuff to the 360 HDD, it may only allow you to transfer from the 360 HDD to the PC. The X-SATA definitely works both ways.

If you are just wanting to get the 360 to recognize the external HDD, than do this: USB Hard Drive Mod for Xbox 360 Storage Enahancment

Pretty simple, just plug the drive into your PC, create a FAT32 partition of the desired size, then plug into your 360 and select portable device through the menu, and you are good to go.
