My Xbox 360 has the RRoD, even though the DVD Drive is flashed. I cannot figure out why the Xbox has the RRoD, it isn't overheating, and the only conclusion that I can come to is that it is because it is modded.

The xbox doesn't rrod cause its modded. My first xbox, wasn't modded, nor played alot, yet it still rrod after 11 months. Just random things that happens. Most rrod occurrences usually involved the graphic chip, or the board being expand or some sort. Possible solution is using x-clamp.

Is it one flashing flight or 3 flashing lights? One flashing light indicates the AV/component/HDMI cable is not plugged in securely or is defective. If it is 3 flashing lights, then that indicates internal hardware failure. Check and verify the number of flashing lights.
If it is the 3 flashing lights, unplug everything from the 360 and all the cables from the 360 going into the power outlet, TV, etc for a couple minutes and plug it all back in. If you still get the 3 flashing lights, keep resetting the 360 and see if it will spit out an error code. If you can get an error code, check it against this list: Xbox 360 Error Code Is your warranty sticker still valid? I know you said it's flashed, but people are able to use a hairdryer and razor blade to heat the sticker, peel it off and put it back on after flashing to make it look like the sticker was never removed. If that is the case, then take it back to the retail store if the warranty is still valid, or send it back to Microsoft if the store warranty is no longer valid. Error 102 or 110 is the most likely for the RRoD, and the ones that can be fixed by installing the X-clamp and using the heatgun method on the RAM. If it is under warranty, exchange with the relevant party, if not try and get it to spit out an error code.

These lights flash.
/ \ \ / I tried disconnecting the cables twice, and tried inserting a game, didn't work. Then I examined the internal parts further, and found this. ![]() Does that have anything to do with it? |

Not sure, it's either the heatsink is fried or it's copper in that part. I would continue and try to get it to spit out an error code. Also, for more info on the status of your heatsink, try posting here:

My error code is 4142.
Which I think is actually 0102. |

Check the error code again, there shouldn't be anything over 1444 according to the llama guide. Try a couple more times to see if the 360 will give you an error code on the list. If it is indeed error 102 and 110, then the x-clamp fix and heatgun methods are your best bet. Here is a guide for the x-clamp fix:
Robin Hoods Playground • View topic - Possible fix for your RROD 360 Here is a video demonstrating the heatgun method: RROD (Red RIngs Of Death) Cure...Xbox360 RROD: RROD cure...Heat Gun Method.. Ignore the towel method, that simply overheats the 360 hardware well beyond the desired thermal capacity, reports of it fixing 360's are illogical and erroneous. It can in fact cause greater damage to the 360. For the X-clamp fix you can either buy the parts yourself or order a kit like this one: X-Clamp-Fix - X-Clamp-Fix DIY Kit X-Clamp-Fix

When all four lights light up, that stands for 0. 4 lights=0, 3=3, 2=2 and 1 light blinking =1. So your code of 4142 would equate to 0102. I would look into Lord Sesshomaru's recommendations.
