Bad BenQ flash (video cable left unplugged)

I flashed a BenQ drive and forgot to plug in the video cable.

Could this cause a bad flash?

All steps that where followed in the textbook guide seemed to perform the way it should. I used Iprep 106 and 1.41 firmware. After the reading and creation of CFW I got a green success. Everything seemed to write to all banks properly.

I did use 360 Toolbox to open the OFW.BIN backup and it seems the key copied properly.

Is there a way to recover this?

Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT:EDIT: found the part in the textbook guide on how to recover to original firmware. Recovered the drive and flashed it this time with Video Cable in and it is now modded.

Glad you got it sorted. The A/V/Component cable doesn't need plugged into the TV, but you need to have an A/V plugged into the 360 or it will auto shutdown after about 5 minutes. This is a reason a lot of people use the connectivity kits instead of using the 360 to power the DVD-ROM drive. Some people believe the 360 logs a boot with the DVD-ROM drive not connected to the 360 motherboard via SATA cable and that is potentially one of the causes of getting banned on Live. That is just speculation and has never been proven. Never a good thing if the 360 powers down in the middle of a flash.

If you plan on flashing BenQ/Samsung MS-25 or 28 drives then I recommend a connectivity kit, that way you take the 360 out of the equation as far as powering the DVD-ROM drive during the flash process. If you plan on playing backups on Live I strongly recommend you run all your backups through XDVDMullter and Schtrom's/XBC stealth checker. Even though the latest iXtreme firmware has stealth built into the firmware, it's always good to run your 360 backups XDVDMulleter.

I check all my backups with abgx360, Schtrom's and XDVDMullter. I triple check them.

As for the connectivity kit I will see about getting it. I have only modded 2 360 so far and with this issue I had with this second time I doubt I will be flashing any more for other people.
