Did you try running the softmod again and make sure you install a dashboard to it.

If you have no dash what do you see when you turn it on. screen freeze?
or MS dash? If in case of MS dash only, you have not installed the other dash necessary on the E Drive and make sure the XBE is renamed to something your xbox can boot. evoxdash probly!

When i turn it on, i get a black screen with green writing..and i cant go anywhere from it..(This is if i turn it on with no CD inside), so basically i MUST turn it on with a CD inside and it will work.

I agree with Fiendish, likely the softmod is looking for a file that isn't present/named properly, i.e. the dash you installed is default.xbe and the soft mod is looking for evoxdash.xbe.

Yeah man what's the number? huh huh huh..... It doesn't sound too serious of a "glitch" for if it was worse you would get nada. It is strange though that you can still boot with disc's but not without.Maybe someone forgot to patch the MS Dash before they thought the Mod was complete and in that case you may have to redo the whole process with SID. Only don't forget to patch your 5960 MS Dash this time.
