Is Xboxhdm ????

Hello people

I was just thinking about XBOXHDM, and i was actually wondering if the program itself is only compatible for a modded xbox, and not a softmodded one like mine, was and although i am now waiting for the delivery of ionicle's chipped xbbox, i am still going to be left here, with a non used xbox, and although i did try XBOXHDM, so many many time's was not successful at all, and i am just wondering if there is any other way to sort the problem, we all know that a chipped xbox can read the slayer's disc or any other disc for that matter, but for some strange reason, of what exactly i am not sure , my crystal xbox will not recognise anything that is burned or whatever, hence why i have done this post in a sense to make us rethink our idea's and hopefully come up with some kind of a solution, as on my main pc at home, i still have the eeprom, and the c drive of my crystal xbox, and i do not think, that ftp, ing my eeprom from my pc to onicle's xbox will allow for file's to be put onto a hard disk this way??? has anyone got any idea's
Also just a point to niote the original 10 gig hard drive is LOCKED
I would sure appreciate any feedback ?? :chef:

If you want to transfer Ionicles HD out of a chipped Xbox, it's very easy. You're going to need 100GB HD at minimum, what with XBMC and all. I in fact recommend going a lot bigger than that, I have a 320GB Western Digital HD in mine, and you will fill it. The great thing about a chip is locking/unlocking/backing up eeprom is a snap. You can do it with a number of apps, dashes, no hardware required.

yeah i agree with ls you can use the chip to your advange just stick in a hd (better with a new one) boot xbox with aid 3.0 in before it load it will detected new hd format and partion for you then all you need to do is either use the files from the orgianl hd (ftp from old before removeing then ftp them back on ) or just install from disc then lock hd using config magic (i love that app hehehe) and youare done no need to even go near the pc

xboxhdm is compatible, it was actually made with softmodders in mind. In fact, if you download it from xbins, you'll find another file in the same folder that if you download it and drop the files into xboxhdm before you build the iso, it will allow you to softmod the drive. This used to be my tool of choice for softmodding before Ndure hack came to be using Nkpatcher.

But if you have a chip, there is only reason I can think of to use xboxhdm. That being a system backup to be able to rebuild the drive if you ever needed to. But with a chip, all you really need is some sort of installer disk like slayer or auto installer deluxe to easily format and install everything that you need.

I'll agree that when it comes to hard drives, the bigger the better. Both gen1 xbox's I have has a 120 GB drive in one and a 400 GB in the other. The 120 GB drive stays pretty much full, while the other is about half full. So you can see that hard drive size is a considerable factor in this situation.
