When you tried this, was XBMC running? XBMC is the only dashboard that I know of that runs a webserver, and it has to be enabled in the settings in order for it to work. The setting would be located in the Network settings under the server options.

Hi Sadalius

Yes xbmc was running, and i already know that it must be enabled, because i have used the web radio function on the xbox, and although my wireless adapter has it's ip addy of 10.0.0.4, i can easily connect to it, however, that does not really mean that it is networked?? does it?

Hello Lord Sesshomaru

Yes i am using it with avalaunch, but i know that the AV (anti virus) is okay with the xbox prog and quix, because i set up my wireless adapter with steimy, and i have successfully used flash fxp to connect to the xbox with pc, i have also used the web radio function within avalaunch as well.

I Shall try again later on tonight after work?? is there any chance, you could say, maybe try to do a vdeio pictorial tut, showing the step's ??? i understand exactly how busy you are??
PS any tip's for getting the skin's to show up in avalaunch?? i DL thm afrom allxboxskins.com. and when i transfer them, i cannot install them, i see them in the directorie but cannot install them?? wtf

I did a tutorial for using Qwix and how to use it to update XBMC, both in the Xbox tutorials section. Sadalius did one for uploading games with Qwix, so we've got ya covered. My AV doesn't interfere with my FTP, just sometimes when I use Qwix to backup games it does. Whenever I get a cannot connect to port error, I close my AV then Qwix works fine.

Hi Lord Sesshomaru

Okay i understand where you are coming from, but today i have a new problem, i seem to be having nothing but bad luck at the mo, i recently followed your tut, how to copy xbox games, using quix and imageburn, and as i followed the tut, and DL ed imageburn, and put it through it's pace's in the installation, it came up with a box stating that it install's itself over dvd decrypter, and that it need's to do that in order to work, and i pressed yes, and when i strted it up, it could not find any device's, i ended up having to go through doing a system restore, to get my computer back in working order??? i cannot understand what si going on.

Although i am just back trying quix, and it is seeming to take a long time, when i click the creat iso button, as though something is really wrong, in your tut it does state that it normally take's up to fifteen minute's(in that region).

But that is not in my case??

Good tut, but it is not working for me??

I think all your PC errors are linked SS. Paddy suggested cleaning out your registry in another thread, I defrag, compact, and optimiize my PC and registry every couple weeks. I think you've got a bunch of old install crap in your registry that needs cleaned out.

Hello Lord Sesshomaru

I think so as well, yesterday i defragged both my drive's, although on my main drive, there is only 10% free space, and defrag need's to have at least 15% to run effectively, though i run it anyway, to see if it would make any difference, and it did not, so another lesson learned, i did state before, that i think there is something in the registery from an old install/rebuild but i am not sure, i am however hoping that by using paragoon partition magic, i may copy over my main drive C:/ over to the F:/ drive, and then once that is done, hopefully restart window's, and then reformat the original C:/ ??
It may work, i have to hope it does, but i do not think it will copy everything correctly, and that some of the program's may have to be reinstalled???

I shall See exactly what happen's today with a little review of what i am going to do?
As for the registery, i do not really like to delve into there, because i do not know anything about the registery, and if you do not know about it, LEAVE well alone
Thank's for your reply although you have confirmed what i already know :-D

As far as the registry, most people don't know enough to go in manually and clean it out. Even if you do, it's much faster to use a third party app like Registry Mechanic to do so. There's a ton of different software that specializes in cleaning out the registry, search around a little to find some.

Hello Lord Sesshomaru

I did find and successfully DL ed registery mechanic 5.2 and put ti through it's stage's , the actually prog itself came u[p with over 690 problem (s) all ranging from different service's and also there were quite a lot of dll files that it have found, in other word's, miles too many to correct, but i did go to a deletion page, and it removed and repaired only 3.80 or something, to delete all of the all the problem file's, it stated it the prog need's top be registered, and then i thought about it, and i decided against that, choice, and i have began a whole new fresh install, i took the step's of unplugging the hard drive with all my stuff loaded on it, and then my second hard drive i set to master, and then popped in the win xp cd, and a new frsh install will hopefully iron everything out?

Once that is all completed, i shall reconnect the other hard drive, and then format it, and hopefully everything will be back to normal.

I have replied to the post using my secondary pc in my game's room?/

I thought about copying everything from the damaged hard drive, but then thought that the problem could be stored in something/program/file that was copied over to the new drive??
So really at least this way, i shall have everything like new, although the only downside of all this, will be having to reinstall the usual driver's/program's but that is not a problem really ?

Take care and thank's for your reply Lord Sesshomaru
