Other than the web server in XBMC,I don't think there's any remote reboot that you can do from your PC.

Just wondering....if anyone knows of a telnet command that will do this. I know the telnet addy to the xbox should be 192.168.0.64 if I remember. Maybe there's a way to trigger something....doubt it but who knows.

Hi punqewe and Lord Sesshomaru
Thankk's for both your replie's however, punqewe i realise that the XBMC has the web server, and i have not tried that, but i amy just to confirm it, and also Lord Sesshomaru, i do have the Logitech wireless Controller, but using a combination of button's and so for th, are not solving my little querie, because to go into the dash to do the task's i am back in the other room, ha ha ha if you follow me, i was hoping for maybe a trigger switch type of idea within the actual ftp prg ??? Have i made sense :-D

If you have your xbox on the XBMC,and the web server is enabled on your machine. Also if it is on the network so that your PC can see it....try this
In your web browser address bar, type in the following Code:
http://xbox:xbox@IP OF YOUR XBOX There might be a way to re-write a line in the xml file to add a XBMC boot....but I'd have to look into it..and it will mean you'll have to change a line in the xml.

Hi punqewe
I tried as per your suggestion, ie typing in the address bar, http://xbox:xbox@10.0.0.4, but it could not connect, it stated it was taking too long to respond???? I did try a reboot, although the xbox is set to the above ip addy, should i change that ??? or leave it as it is?

SS, I don't know how far your Xbox is from your PC, but my wireless controller will still work from the next room. If it's not too far, you could memorize the shutdown sequence. I.E. hit right analog in XBMC and then remember the number of button presses to hit shutdown, reboot, then hit A.

Are you using it with Avalaunch? Could be your AV, sometimes I have trouble connecting with Qwix while my AV is active. Try disabling it. I've used that method several times and never had any probs.
