i've been trying to Download xbox games & burn them onto my xbox hard drive. & cant seem to get them to work. i know it can be done cuase my old roommate did it. & i cant seem to find any info about it anywhere.
after dl the game it's allways in Rar.files what am i sapose to do with them ?

After you get the game, use Winrar to unrar the file, after that you will end up with a ISO, IMG, or MDF, you can burn it with DVD Decryptor, Nero, Alcohol 120% or any other burning software. Once you have that done, you can load the Backup CD on the xbox and uses DVD2Xbox to copy it over to the xbox HDD.

But of course your xbox must be modded, either softmodded or hardmodded (modchip)

Im not exactly an xbox person, im sure someone can guide you more in-depth.

i dont have a dvd burner . so i cant burn it onto a disc .
so can i still use the DVD Decryptor even tho i dont have a burner ?

Do you have an upgraded Hard Drive in the Xbox?

The stock Xbox Hard Drive are only like 9GB and can not hold much more info. You will want to install a larger Hard Drive in your Xbox if you want to play the games off your Hard Drive. If you have installed a larger Hard Drive then let me know and ill find a guide that shows you how to transfer the downloaded game to your Xbox Hard Drive.

i dont know. it xbox was allready modded when i got it. but i know i've had a few games DL to it be4 unreal turnerment NFSU & merchanies (not all at the same time) i have 4499 MB of free space in my E/folder

You have a retail hard drive then. You may be able to fit one game on there...two or three if they are "cheesy" small games but it's not worth it. You either need to upgrade your hdd or get a burner so you can start making backups. We have plenty of guides here to help you through the process.

If the file you unrared is an Xiso, just FTP it to your Xbox HD with Qwix. You'll need an active FTP connection to do so.

how do u know if it's in XISO or not ?
yea i have a good ftp connection. i've been using flashFXP .
is Qwic like flashfxp ? or does it do other things to ?
