Yeah, there are multiple ways to stream music from a networked PC through XBMC. The preferred way is to use Window's Shares, which just uses XP's built in shared folders feature to stream music over a network. The other way is to use an app called ccxgui 1.41. Here's a guide for using XP's File Sharing system: Windows File Sharing (SMB/SAMBA/CIFS) - XBox Media Center

Yeah you can do it, but the FTP speeds are much slower via wireless, and people seem to have a ton of connection issues when FTPing via wireless. It's a bit more indepth than FTPing normally:
Check out this link at the bottom where it says Wireless Xbox for more info. Networking your Xbox Looks like you need a wireless Ethernet bridge such as this: ftp://ftp.linksys.com/pub/network/wet11_ds.pdf Here's some more info: Xbox 360 WiFi - Connect Xbox 360 Game Consoles to a Wireless Router for Xbox Live

I posted a guide for XP a couple posts up. As far as Vista I really dunno, no one I know runs Vista. According to this thread, you need to use ccxgui: Scenyx Entertainment Community > Xbmc -> Vista X64 Issues
Apparently Vista can't see the XP shares. This thread is a bit dated, so there may be a work around for this now, sounds like ccxgui will do the trick though. Get it here: Ccxgui Download Location And How-to Manual. - Scenyx Entertainment Community That thread also has a manual.
