Surreal 1.0 the official build, unless something better has come along. The Surreal Beta would lock up on me all the time. The official Surreal is pretty stable, I got through 2.5 dungeons in Zelda and it really only locked up on me dealing with Save states, which ideally shouldn't be used with Surreal or PCSXbox to begin with. It would lag occasionally, but it was minor and didn't affect the gameplay at all. The key with Surreal is to figure out which of the three emulators will boot the game in question using the compatibility list. From there, most N64 games are playable.
