what type of connection is your network?
Are you connecting directly to your XBOX with a crossover cable? If so, do both the PC LAN connection and the XBOX connection have static IP addresses assigned to them? Is your XBOX and PC you're attempting the FTP connected via a router? |

Could be a bad ethernet cable somewhere along the way. You might want to do some trial and error with the different cables to make sure each one is functioning correctly. Make sure your Xbox is connected to the hub via ethernet cable, not a crossover cable. The bug you mentioned where files on the Xbox don't show up in the FTP browser can happen with Xenium chips when accessing FTP within Xenium OS, there is a work around which involves tweaking some settings in FlashFXP. I just use an explorer window from within XP to connect directly. Just open an Explorer window (i.e. My Computer-->C) and type ftp://xboxiphere with your Xbox IP in place of "xboxiphere." See if you can view files on the Xbox. If you can, then it's probably an issue with FlashFXP. If not, then it's more likely a networking issue. Also make sure you have IGR (In-Game Reset) turned off in EvoX, that can cause issues with games booting.

Well you do it from within the EvoX dash settings. Look around the settings portion of the menu, turning off IGR from within the dash settings should disable it, some of the X2 bios required turning it off in the bios as well. You really need to look over Tech's FTP guide and see if you are missing a step, it's like going forward blind without getting your FTP working properly.

Simply put, connecting via two routers, hubs, switches,, whatever can cause unstable or prevent connections altogether especially when dealing with FTP. To test this, plug your XBOX and your PC into your main router then try to FTP. It will more than likely work. on a side note: Quote:
