Did you remember to setup a static IP on your PC and Xbox when you connected with a crossover cable?

Your username should be visible in the network settings section of your dash. By default, your FTP username and password is xbox all lowercase.

If your Xbox username is blank input xbox all lowercase as your username. Here's a guide to setup a static IP on your PC, on your Xbox just use the FTP guide I posted on the first page to set it up.

I feel for you man, networking can be a real pain sometimes. But if you can game through Xlink Kai then your Xbox surely is able to make the connection.

When you do ipconfig/all it will show you the IP of your main connection, and that is what you should be using when setting up the FTP and settings on the Xbox and when you set up your FTP program.

Forgot to ask and too lazy to look, what FTP rpogram are you using?

I think the only way to get you fixed up is to start at square one and go from there and configure each piece ne by one.

So some questions i have are: (yes i kow some pictures you posted may have answers to some of these but i am just starting fresh here)

1. What IP, DSN, Subnet Mask and Default gateway does it show when you do ipconfig/all

2. What did you input into the Xbox in the network settings for all of the above

3. what did you enter into your FTP program for the IP address and such

That is a start. But it really could come down to you just not having the correct user name and password that is set in your FTP program and it is not matching what the Xbox has.

Glad you got it sorted, it was probably just a combination of things that you had to put together correctly.

Not a problem. I am not sure about LS but i was actually very excited to see a nice Xbox problem pop up. Does not happen near as often as it use to since everyone has moved on to the next gen stuff. My Xbox has not seen the light of day in about a year now, It feels neglected.
