Exclamation Backup Problems

I was trying to make a backup cd of conker live and reloaded however i came across a... slight problem. It seems that the iso file is 5 mb bigger than the capacity of my dvd. I was wondering is it possible to erase a sound or something using magiciso so it would fit on a 4.7gb dvd? By the way i can't ftp right now because i dont have my cable so the dvd is my only option. Would the game still work if i erased a sound file?

Actually it can be the CD you are using. Because there are times, the CD disc are not full that size. I came across this problem while back, used Memorex DVD. Couldn't fit a backed up movie, cause was over like a meg or two. Tried some Sony Disc, TY and worked fine. Try a different CD brand

i tried but i still got the same result. Would the game still work if i erased a sound file to make it fit? Also, if i burned the game on an 8 gig dvd would my xbox be able to read it?

You can delete the dash update files and Conker will fit on a single layer disc. There are about 25-30 DVD-9 games for Xbox 1, most of them can be made to fit on a single disc by deleting extraneous files like Xbox Live stuff, foreign language FMV, and dash updates. For Conker try this:

Conker Live & Reloaded - delete dashupdate, update, downloader (??) xbes should fit on a dvd5

Thanks alot man but do you by any chance know where i can find those files. When i open the iso with magiciso there are 2 folders (dvddata and media) and there are also 2 other files (default.bak and default.xbe) the xbe is the one i should delete right? Where can i find the other ones though?

in the dvddata folder there are 3 other folders, aid, audio(i guess the files won't be here), and fmv

i'm pretty sure that the files you told me to delete wont be in the "media" folder because there are only 4 files here, arialuni.ttf, dlcustom xpr, sound.xsb, and wave.xwb

Found a post by some guy named Punqewe that might help.

then you will have to go into the game to the following directory

Conker Live and Reloaded/dvddata/aid/text/

here you will see some languages,I only kept the folders

English and LanguageAgnostic.

After doing this, the image should be about 4.36 gigs and will fit onto a DVD5.

I can't find the dashupdate.xbe and update.xbe files. I erased all the languages except for english and the other folder which you said to keep, but for some reason when i go to burn the image with ImgBurn, it still says that the image is 4mb bigger than the disc capacity, it said the same thing before i erased all the foreign languages (do you think its just an error of ImgBurn?). By the way i extracted everything from the iso in a folder and serched the folder for the .xbe files but still nothing came up... :S

Only thing I can think is if you "acquired" the iso then perhaps someone already deleted the dash update files and recompiled the iso. In which case it should be small enough to fit on a single layer disc. Perhaps it's an error in ImgBurn. Try loading the iso into another burning program and see if it's small enough for a single layer disc.

Otherwise, you could just upload the original Conker iso to your Xbox with Qwix and play the game off your Xbox Hard Drive.
