Hi, I want to make a cable just like the one they make here.
Just scroll down a little to see what i mean. Its a xbox cable male fitting that connects to a female usb end of the cable. So you can plug in certain devices that take usb. Do i need a driver on my xbox to do this? Or can i make this cable and just plug it in and use it with a usb jumpdrive or something? Thanks people.

Nope don't think so, you should be able to plug a flash drive, keyboard, mouse or USB HDD into it no problem. The Xbox only reads FAT and FAT32 partitions of 4GB's or smaller.

I has it chopped up and working  Although my flash drives don't work with it -.-' What would a keyboard or mouse do with a unmodded xbox?

Nothing on an unmodded Xbox. If you have a modified Xbox then you can use the keyboard for browsing stuff online on Linksbox and the mouse to do the same.

I might consider soft modding it. I will never use it for LIVE. So I supose its worth it Although I will have to get my hands on a copy of one of the games.

You can use a modified Xbox on Live if you have a modchip that is capable of being disabled or you install a dual boot softmod. You can also play online for free on services like X-link Kai or XB Connect. Not nearly as many people are on the free services as Live, but at least you don't have to worry about being banned for having a modified console. There still should be people online for popular games like Halo.
