Avatar Size Not Correct

Hey,

I made my new avatar 150x150 and it came out to 28.6k....just under the requirements. For some reason whenever I upload it to XS, it resizes to 100x100 and is only 2.8k. Is this a problem in XS or imageshack? I tried twice. Once as a PNG and once as a JPG. Thanks in advance!

The problem is that the size is too big.. the max allowed here is
Quote:
AVATARS
Maximum Dimensions Allowed: 150w x 100h pixels
Maximum File Size Allowed: 30kb
I think the system will auto resize it to fit those specs, but not sure.. or it could be a problem with imageshack, either way it needs resizing to fit with the forum rules as above.

I was just going by the avatar sticky. Maybe the 150x100 limit is posted elsewhere? I couldn't find it. Starting to get confused where to find certain sticky's.

Typo on my part, I apologize. When you uploaded the avatar, the parameters are shown on tat page. The forum rules contains that information, which was correct...just check there in the future if you forget. The link is in the navbar of all pages...

Yep mine is 145*145 and is being resized to fit forum rules.. but that sounded a bit disrespectful/argumentative to me bobert, remember that the staff here can have whatever tech says they can have.... and it's not up to the members to question staff about anything.

Please resize to fit the new rules for sigs or host offline to somewhere like imageshack/photobucket etc, thanks

Ok man, I pm'ed you.. no harm no foul.. sorry, just mistaken intentions

Your sig is a little big in KB, it should now be resized to 60KB please.. unless hosted elsewhere.. so in other words upload your image to imageshack/photobucket etc and then enter the url in the sig section in your User CP.. then it should be OK.. I don't think it matters so much for hosted sigs.. we're only concerned with ones that are uploaded to XS for now I believe... leave it as it is for now and I'll ask tech/kam etc what's going on about the sig limits etc

No prob....I just don't want to be "that member." You know, the one who asks questions without reading the rules :-)
